Terms of Use and Terms of Sale

These terms govern your use of www.buyclovisnow.com (the "Site") and any purchase from CLOVIS. CLOVIS is the trading name of Louis Awode, a sole proprietor based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them before you pay.

1. The Site

We may update, change, or withdraw any part of the Site, including products and prices, at any time without notice. We try to keep all information accurate, but errors may occur; if a pricing or description error affects your order, we will contact you before proceeding or refund you in full.

2. Products

  • CLOVIS pieces are Afrocentric designs, many incorporating heritage West African textiles and hand-finished details. Natural textiles carry slight variations in weave, print and shade. These variations are part of the craft, not defects.
  • Product images show the design as faithfully as possible. Colours may vary slightly with screens and light.
  • Sizes follow the CLOVIS global unisex size chart published on the Site. Please check the chart before ordering.

3. Prices and payment

  • Prices are shown in US dollars (USD) unless stated otherwise, and exclude shipping and any customs or import duties unless stated at checkout.
  • Payment is taken securely through Stripe at the time of order. We do not store your full card details.
  • An order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send your order confirmation email.

4. Shipping and delivery

  • Orders are dispatched within 1-2 business days of order confirmation. Delivery options, costs, and estimated timeframes are shown at checkout before you pay.
  • International customers are responsible for any customs, duties, and taxes charged by their country.
  • Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Please inspect your order on arrival.

5. Returns and refunds (official policy)

  • You may return a piece within 30 days of delivery.
  • Fit and style returns must be unworn, unwashed, and with tags on. Return shipping is at the customer's cost.
  • If we sent the wrong item, or the piece is faulty, return shipping is on CLOVIS. Send us a photo of the issue so we can make it right quickly.
  • To start a return, message us on Instagram @wear.clovis or email order@buyclovisnow.com.
  • Refunds are made to the original payment method within 10 days of us receiving and approving the return.
  • For hygiene and craft reasons, items returned worn, washed, or damaged by the customer cannot be refunded.
  • Bespoke and made-to-order pieces are final sale: they are cut to one customer's measurements and cannot be resold, so they cannot be returned for fit preference or change of mind. Our fit promise stands: if a bespoke piece does not match the measurements agreed in writing, or is faulty, CLOVIS will repair, remake, or refund it.

6. Bespoke orders

Bespoke and custom commissions are agreed individually in writing (design, measurements, price, and timeline) before work begins. All fabrics are selected by CLOVIS; customers do not choose or supply fabric. Payment in full is required before work begins on any bespoke commission.

7. Intellectual property

All designs, the CLOVIS name and monogram, images, text, and the Site itself belong to CLOVIS or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them for commercial purposes without our written permission.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Site: no fraud, no false orders, no attempts to breach the Site's security, and no use that breaks the law.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it. To the fullest extent the law permits, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, and disputes will be handled by the courts of Georgia, unless your local consumer law gives you additional rights, which these terms do not remove.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on the Site at the time of your order applies to that order.
